Day 5. Muddy Slog to the Circle. Friday, 16 February.

Got a glimpse of the sunrise on my walk to the stones. WET and MUDDY! It had rained on Thursday so hard slog through extra thick, dark, muddy and larger than ever puddles. The water by the gate of the stone circle was so big that it was almost impossible to go around it. Slipped on the slippery mud into the dark and cold waters filling my left boot.

Arrived at the stone circle only to see a couple standing in the center, each with a small white piece of paper in their hands. Vows?

He looked over to me as I came up toward the gate.

Honored the sacredness of the circle and their private time and space there, I made my way home through the mud and puddles.
